Personal Background
I was born and raised in Tbilisi, Georgia, and moved to Oslo, Norway in 2003. In 2016, I relocated to the United States following personal relationship. English is my primary language and I provide therapy exclusively in English, although I do speak several other languages: Georgian, Norwegian & Russian. I was raised without a formal religious context, within historically and culturally christian environment. I do not practice any religion, but I am spiritual and I have curiosity and openness to diverse worldviews and religious affiliations. I do not have specialized training specifically focused on LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy. However, I wholeheartedly welcome LGBTQ+ individuals and approach all work with care, respect, and openness. My practice is grounded in supporting each person’s lived experience, identity, and goals, and I am committed to providing a thoughtful and nonjudgmental therapeutic space. My personal motto, “we must cultivate our garden,” from Voltaire, reminds me to focus on what is within reach and to tend to it with care, patience, and sustained attention. I understand it as an invitation to work thoughtfully with what is present, rather than rushing toward abstract solutions or outcomes.
